„THE TURNING PARTNER“ stand for a wide spectrum of materials, dimensions, and technology!

The DVORAK GROUP is investing as an anchor investor, acquiring a 35% stake in the German machining company Carl Leipold GmbH. Carl Leipold GmbH is a long-established German company headquartered in the Black Forest, Germany, which specialises in the high-precision manufacture of complex turned components. After the company filed for insolvency proceedings under its own administration, business operations have continued since 1 November 2022 under this regime with the aim of achieving a sustainable restructuring.

With the help of the Viennese law firm BRANDL TALOS, led by partner Stephan Strass, a participation concept was developed. This was already presented to the creditors during the insolvency proceedings and unanimously approved. The result was the legally binding annulment of the insolvency proceedings as of the beginning of June 2023.

The insolvency plan includes, among other things, the closure of the LEIPOLD plant in Dransfeld and the sale of the US subsidiary in Windsor, Connecticut. The DVORAK Group contributes significantly to the strategic realignment and capitalisation of the company as an anchor investor through the provision of equity and debt capital.

This will be done under the brand „THE TURNING PARTNER“. „THE TURNING PARTNER“ offers customers an extensive product portfolio of turned and milled parts with a wide range of materials, dimensions, technology, and design optimisation (Smarter Design).

The Carl Leipold GmbH, which has until now appeared on the market under its branding „LEIPOLD – The Precision Group“, will in future do so as „LEIPOLD TURNING“ in line with the new partner „METUSAN TURNING“.
