About us
We say: technology, quality and innovation – all together!
And above all, the enthusiasm with which our employees manufacture all products, so that we can meet your high demands for turned and milled parts, as well as assemblies.
The success story of METUSAN TURNING began in Vienna in 1906.
The Dvorak family business is built on rich experience – after all, we have been Austria's largest producer in the field of non-ferrous metal processing for many years. Perfect industrialisation knowledge combined with modern manufacturing technologies leads to the highest precision.
The perfect setting for technological perfection.
Since 1906, the Dvorak Group has stood for precision and metal expertise. Franz Dvorak founded a company for metal stamped parts in Vienna, which set standards early on.
Following the takeover by Johann Dvorak (born 1891) in 1932, the company was continuously developed.
In 1950, the decisive switch to stamping and turning technology took place.
His son, Johann Dvorak (born 1927), took over the management in 1962 and successfully continued the family business.
In 1970, the company moved to Wolkersdorf in the Weinviertel region of Lower Austria. A modern production facility with 3,000 m² of manufacturing space was built on a 10,000 m² plot of land.
Just five years later, in 1975, the sales company METUSAN was founded.
At the same time, the plot area was increased to 17,000 m² and production capacities rose to 5,000 m².
In 1992, Johann Dvorak (born 1969) ushered in the next phase of growth with the establishment of JOHANN DVORAK Produktionsgesellschaft mbH: exports accounted for over 70 per cent of the business, and turnover stood at more than €7 million.
In the years 1995 to 2000, production facilities were modernised, an automatic high-bay warehouse and a cleaning plant were installed, and DIN EN 9001 certification was achieved.
Between 2007 and 2010, new production halls were built, equipped with state-of-the-art CNC lathes and a cantilever rack for 250 tonnes of raw material.
The years 2011 to 2015 were characterised by sustainability and technological expansion: biomass heating, PV systems, new departments for brazing and pipe bending, as well as state-of-the-art CNC technology strengthened our innovative capacity.
From 2020 to 2023, the Dvorak Group invested heavily in single-spindle and multi-spindle CNC machines, 5-axis milling, circular grinding, and digitalisation through machine data acquisition. The cooperation with Carl Leipold GmbH under the brand THE TURNING PARTNER expanded the international product portfolio.
Since 2024, we have been placing increased emphasis on multi-spindle CNC machines and modern turn-milling technology for demanding materials, in order to secure our position as a leading high-tech manufacturer of complex metal parts.
